Thousands take to streets in Serbia to protest against proposed lithium mine – video report

Serbia has been gripped by protests against the opening of a proposed lithium mine by the Anglo-Australian mining company Rio Tinto. The planned project will open in the Jadar valley if approved after an environmental impact study. The Serbian president, Aleksandar Vučić, has said mining will not go ahead until environmental worries are resolved and has accused the opposition of plotting a ‘colour revolution’ against him
