Ukraine’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Heorhii Tykhyi, said Kyiv has no interest in occupying Russian territory in the Kursk region after its offensive into the Russian region, adding that Ukraine wants only to ‘protect the lives of our people’. He said: ‘I will simply remind you that, in particular, more than 2,000 strikes have been conducted from the areas of the Kursk region only since the beginning of this summer and those are only the strikes aimed at the districts of Ukraine’s Sumy region’
