Donetsk regional police have published footage showing scenes of devastation in Ukraine’s frontline city of Avdiivka. The video shows destroyed residential blocks with charred walls and piles of rubble on deserted streets as police continue to evacuate civilians. Starting on Sunday, the city will begin to shut off its utilities as ‘more and more of the town is shelled and destroyed daily,’ said Vitaliy Barabash, its military administration head. Russian forces have been making recent gradual gains on the flanks of Avdiivka, and the Ukrainian military said last week that the city could become a ‘second Bakhmut’.
